Subjunctive: Present perfect

When we are speaking from the perspective of the present & make a comment about the past that requires the subjunctive, then one has to use a tense called the present perfect subjunctive. For example, "I hope you ate" would be translated as "Espero que hayas comido", or literally "I hope that you have eaten".

First you need to learn to conjugate this new tense:
